This world is not a place for shallow Christians of soft character.

Our Lord is looking for strong men who are tested, proven disciples ready to defend life and to live life to the fullest in the process.

CHALLENGE Basic is a six-day course in which the recruits are placed into squads of 4-6 members. They will work together during this boot camp style setting to be successful. The core skill-building events of the CHALLENGE program are rappelling, land navigation, firearms safety, self-protection, medical, and survival) At the end of the week, the recruits will navigate a 24-hour land-navigation course in which they will utilize all of the training they received early in the week. They learn the values of the Timothy Group: Godliness, Duty, Courage, Humility, Strength, Faith, Teamwork, Discipline, Sacrifice, and Leadership.

The Mission of CHALLENGE:

The mission of Challenge is to present a tool to the parents, specifically the Fathers, to strengthen and encourage our young men on their journey to manhood. Challenge seeks to reinforce the godly principles of the home but in an outdoor setting while enduring physical and mental activities.

Challenge is not a military camp, but it is a program based on the military fundamentals of teamwork, courage, selflessness, attention to detail and a sense of urgency. All of these fundamentals used in harmony with participating fathers and a strong staff team helps reinforce manly ideas and strengths to the young men.

The Challenge motto is: “I will either find a way or make one.” This motto applies not only during Challenge week when the student is required to complete a mission with limited resources, but it applies in the work force, at home and in our Christian walk. This is the foundation behind Challenge; motivating young men to “find a way or make one”, to not be comfortable in the status quo but to be prepared to give their whole heart into their mission.

Motivated, Dedicated, Teamwork.

Our purpose as Timothy Group men is to educate our young men in the truths found in God’s word. Through our training programs, competence and commitment are instilled. The practical application of these spiritual truths is experienced in various forms: missions planning, rescue missions, community service, and leadership roles. Come prepared to be pushed and proven; to be mission-ready; to show the redeeming love of Christ to those in need. If you enjoy spending time in the outdoors in a small team setting, learning unique skills such as high angle rappel, land navigation, firearm instruction, leadership training and small team tactics, then you will enjoy CHALLENGE! If you do not shy away from discipline, character, and a humility that comes from tough training, then show up and allow God to prepare you for your future.

We believe hardship is a tool that God uses to build character in a man (Hebrews 10:32-34)
