This opportunity occurs 16-19 October 2013 at Fort Benning Army Installation, Columbus, Georgia.  The event is designed for those who seek detailed insights into the world of the sniper.

This October you will have an entire week to observe Military and Professional Snipers from around the world.  The International Sniper Competition will afford you, the observer, an opportunity to note the discipline, preparation, engagement, and disengagement of targets and objectives.  At the conclusion of the week all sniper specific weapons and experimental weapons will be available for your examination and firing.

Some typical venues that will be executed are: Stalking, engagement of near targets, night observation, long range target acquisition, break contact, hide sight, pistol, rifle, large caliber employment, and more.

The cost of this four-day event includes: Lodging, Transport to various venues on post, Sniper observation, Ammunition and Weapons firing, breakfast and lunch. Without the group discount this event does cost $1468.00.  The Timothy Group can offer this awesome four-day experience for $555.00 per person. Register with your intentions to participate.  Lower cost registration is available with less accommodations.

A Typical Day
  • 0600 wake-up
  • 0700 hot breakfast in route, transport to US Army Sniper School for briefing
  • 0800 transport to first sniper venue of the day
    • mingle with coaches or instructors pre-shoot holding area
    • observe first sniper venue
    • mingle with snipers in the post-shoot holding area
  • 1200 hot lunch in the field
  • 1300 transport to second sniper venue of the day
    • mingle with coaches or instructors pre-shoot holding area
    • observe second sniper venue
    • mingle with snipers in the post-shoot holding area
  • 1800 transport to lodging for showers and dinner

When in the field with the snipers and coaches, do not be bashful. Ask all the questions you want. Get in their mindset. Find out what goes through their thought processes as the prepare, engage, and move to different situations. This way you will be prepared to engage your own targets when you are the "trigger puller" on the last day.  On Saturday there will be an open shoot from 10am-2pm.  This is where you will have an opportunity to practice what you have gleaned from the professionals all week.

The 2013 International Sniper Competition will again bring teams from all over the world to Fort Benning to compete in 10 to 15 sniper related events.  The focus of the competition is to bring teams together to share battlefield lessons learned, provide training initiatives and ideas and to compete tactically and technically. The event will host 35 teams (70 snipers) not including unit coaches, commanders and spectators.
